Care Package

Here is an idea for a care package that I made up for a friend who had just had surgery.

Homemade granola, chunky applesauce, and chicken soup.  (All favorite family recipes.)

The canning jars were perfect for the food items.  They looked so pretty with all of the different textures.

The metal pail was the perfect thing for transporting the jars.  I didn't have to worry about them spilling or breaking.
The homemade labels made the jars look pretty, and they showed extra thought.

The jars and the pail were things that I had around the house.  I love to use what I have, but still try to make it pretty and practical.
I guess that is the true bricoleur in me.
