I want to introduce you to a new blog.

She is also hosting a show called Mes Amis Vintage Antiques Show in Roseville on September 17, 2011.
Here is Sandy with one of my daughters.

Searching for more of This

We are away.
 On a working vacation out-of-state.
After a couple of weeks in this state, we will spend a week camping in another state.

While we are away...
I will be searching for more,
vintage jars,

miniature oil cans,

enamelware bowls,

vintage fans,

vintage rubber stamps,

old signs,

more old jars to store random items,

and scissors.  All so fun to decorate with.

These pics are some of my favorite close-ups of things that we sell in the two stores and at shows.  I will be looking for all of these and for many other things to bring back to you, our customers.  Hopefully we will find some great pieces of furniture also.
Wish me luck!

Recently, JudyWatkins, the creater and promoter of the wonderful show

While we are talking about Remnants, I want to let you know that this popular show has outgrown its previous location.  The new location is going to be at the Alex Madonna Expo Center in San Luis Obispo.
Now, save the dates and make those reservations for

Garden Chandelier

This post about how you can create a garden chandelier out of a little bit of this,
and a little bit of that.

These look so pretty with tea lights lit at night, hanging on the porch or under the trees.
We have a couple of these available.  One is at The Antique Trove.

Showing my Patriotic Spirit

I thought I would share some pics of
Red - White - Blue
in my home.
On my blue front door, (with white trim), a red vintage mailbox that I use as a wall pocket to hold greenery.

There is nothing quite like a flag waving in the hot summer breeze.

A flag hanging on the wall in my son's loft room.

Stars and Stripes

An iron star hanging over my front door.

A metal white star hanging on the front siding on the front porch.

A row of red/white and blue/white plates on the plate rail in the dining room.

I didn't realize how many stars, red, white and blue I had in my home until I thought about doing a post for the Fourth of July.  Most of these items are up year round and I love them.  Do you use these patriotic items for decorating?
Have a safe Fourth of July!
