What to expect at the Blog Luncheon

Things are wrapping up nicely for the Blog Luncheon that will take place on Friday.  This event is being hosted by myself, and Courtney from French Country Cottage.
There have been some questions about what to expect, and what to bring.


~First come check in at The Vintage bricoleur to get your name tag and to pay if you still need to.  10am.


~Power point presentation
~Tutorial hand-outs
~Lunch and Giveaways
~Q/A session
~Open forum time

Optional things to bring.
~A laptop
~A notebook for taking notes
~Business cards
~Camera (as any good blogger should do)

We will be wrapping up around 2pm, so there will be plenty of time for you to explore the rest of the sheds at High Hand. The shops are all OPEN till 5pm.


Look for these big fruit sheds.  Go inside to find The Vintage Bricoleur.

Pinterest & Spend a few hours at High Hand

For those of you who read this blog regularly, you might have noticed that I now have a
"Pin It"
button at the top of every post.

(I think one of the next boards I will work on will be all about High Hand.)

(We are located inside the fruit sheds at High Hand.)

Feel free to pin any photos that you see here on the blog.  Once you are done with one page you can click on the tab "Older Post" and it will take you to the  next page where you once again click on the "Pin It" button and so on.  As you pin please remember to mention The Vintage Bricoleur. ;)  You can also check out my boards.  I am new to this and so some of them are not very full, but it is so fun!!!

Tour Again @TVB

I know some of you faithfully follow to see what things are new at
 The Vintage Bricoleur. 
So here is another post about new items and vignettes in the store.


This fun industrial cart is great!


Lots of pretty down-filled pillows to choose from.


Some fun items are on this shelf.  I love birds!


A pretty etagere holds lace and vintage law books from the early 1900's.

  There is something about things with numbers on them.

The Grand Opening was Wonderful...

The Grand Opening for our store was Wonderful.
I would like to share some pics of what you missed if you were not able to make it.
The shelves are packed with treasures!
You can see just the bottom of the beautiful Phonograph Lamp.


Salvage architecture hanging over a huge Farm Table. 
 Primitive Pine Cabinet full of  ironstone.

Sheet music garlands hanging in the window.

Pretty Shabby White Cupboard filled with goodies.

Old Post Office Boxes and a Primitive Bench with French books and antlers.
  French arm chair with a grain sack seat.
Small table set for two.


This little corner is FULL of Vintage Silverware Jewelry.  It has been very popular.

Beautiful glove box.

Pretty glass urns.

Primitive divided box with pears, concrete duck and Ironstone.

French book through a glass block.

Small prints, lace bags.

Primitive wood peg board holding a collection of pitchers.

Bicycle license plates from Belgium.

Large spools of twine.

We are OPEN! A sneak peek of the store.

Yay!  We are Open!!!
Today was our Soft Opening and everything went well.
I will share a few pics, but for those of you who do not know, we,
The Vintage Bricoleur
have opened our own shop in Downtown Loomis, Ca.
We are located inside the High Hand historic packing sheds along with several other businesses.
Our business hours are
Tuesday - Saturday 10 -5
Sunday 10 -4

The Other Businesses at High Hand

The whole High Hand property has become quite a destination place. 

To start with there is an amazing place to eat. 
 They call it the Conservatory.


The Nursery comes next.
You will not be disapointed with the selection or the beautiful displays.

Walk up steps into the sheds and you will find a wonderful
Flower Market.


Continue down the walkway where pots of many shapes, sizes and colors are availble for purchase.

At this point if you look to your left, our shop
is up against the back wall.

Go several more yards to the

Up a short little ramp is
Fiber arts is their specialty.


On your right will be the wine tasting rooms

Currently open Fri. - Sat.
12 p.m.- 5 p.m.

They offer classes on how to make your own candles besides lots of inventory to purchase.
(Their store has since been painted and they will be opening around the same time as us.)

So there you have it.  Come prepared to stay a few hours as there are lots of things to do!
