Specialty Shows and The Store

For several years now we have been doing two shows a month and an additional specialty one every once in a while.  We have our own store plus we have a space at another store.  It has kept us VERY busy trying to juggle all of these shows and the two stores.  Sometimes our store has suffered because we save things for the shows.
So.....
We are going to try something different for a while.
We will only do specialty shows, and every once in a while Alameda or Sacramento.  This will make it that we don't have to hold items back for a show.  Instead we will be placing the items in the store.  You will not have to wait once a month to see what we have, you can come to the store, Tuesday - Sunday.

I love to make flower frog towers.

This bed spring sold to a new college student who was going to use it for a headboard.

Beautiful large mirror reflecting a cement lady.

Look for more selection in the store now.

This is a fun group of mirrors and frames with a huge vintage chalkboard.

Looking forward to seeing you at the store!
I'll keep you posted here about the next big specialty show.

Featuring Miss Worm @ The Vintage Bricoleur

Meet Laura of  Miss Worm.
Laura is my husband's sister.

Laura will be taking a small area in the shop that will be filled with beautiful items many of which will be handmade.  Jewelry, flower pins, quilts, pillows, you name it, and all vintage inspired!

Laura has a space at Scout Living, and as you can see she does not waste an inch!
She is to be featured in the next Sac Magazine for her one of a kind jewelry.  She can do custom orders.  She made me a special necklace that says "bricoleur".  I love it.
Please welcome Laura.

Well, she only lastest a few days.
She now has a home with a happy new owner.

She looked so pretty right in the middle of our space.

I had to share the pics, even though she is no longer available.  Something else is in the place she was.

Black Hutch

Every once in a while I feature an item that is for sale in one of our store locations.
This beautiful black hutch is available at

1215 18th Street between L & Capitol.
This hutch would make a perfect serving sideboard for the upcoming holidays.

It has two drawers to hold silverware and linens. Inside the doors below are handy shelves for dishes and stemware.

The details on this piece are beautiful.
The beveled mirros help reflect what is being displayed on the top as well as whatever room it is in.
So head on over to Scout to take a look.  There are many other great items in the store as well.

How do you all get so many comments?

Well  it has been seven months now since I started writing this blog.  It has been a lot of fun.  It has been a lot of work.  I do enjoy posting about the coming schedule for us bricoleurs, and sharing all the pretty pics from shows that we have done or our store spaces.

The question is....
How do you all get so many comments?
I know that I don't always have time to leave a comment on every blog post that I read, but I would like to hear more from you.

The reason for this is that I would like to know if my post are even being read.
Second, I think it is important to hear from you, to see if what I am blogging and talking about is of any interest to you.
Do you like the items that I am offering?

I feel that this will help me to better please you.
So, if you have time, please leave a comment, and let me know what you are thinking.  The comments go directly to my email, and I read every one.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Vintage luggage, round framed mirror, cabinet, wire baskets, old bottles.

Gates, gumball machine, old shelves, locker basket, vintage medicine cabinet.

Antique fire bucket, large funnel.

Wood soda boxes, giant strainer, primitive tool box.

Globe, cruiser, light fixture, wire shelves.

Primitive tool box, side table, magazine rack, farm table.

Tool box, vintage table, huge roll of twine.  And much, much more.

See anything you like?

This will all be available at our shows and two store locations.
Some of it will get some tender loving care, some is ready to go, some will be remade into something
one-of-a-kind.

It was fun to look for treasures with you, our customer, in mind.
