Exciting Growth and Change!

For 4 years we enjoyed our small family business
The Vintage Bricoleur in Loomis, Ca.
We thank each of you for the support you have been to us.

Last summer our family moved to the great state of Texas!
On October 1, 2015, we opened another small Vintage Home Design store called
~Bricoleur Vintage Home in Burleson, Tx.~

141 E Renfro Street Old Town Burleson, Tx. 76028

We are still stockist of the best paint in the world, Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan.

So what happened to The Vintage Bricoleur?
We still own it and have a manager and many capable people who run it for us.  Be sure to stop in a say hello to them.

This has been a big adventure for our family.  We love the changes and growth that have been made.  We do miss our faithful customers/friends from Ca. We are getting to know new customers and making more friends.  We appreciate each of you, old and new relationships alike.

So the new year 2016 for the Bricoleurs continues to be a year of growth and change.

How to shop Lavender and Lace

The Lavender and Lace vintage and antique show is at a beautiful private estate.
So, while you are touring the gardens you will find vendors set up in garden rooms, in the orchard and along the driveway.
Make sure to take a map at the entrance so you don't miss a vendor or area of the garden that is featured.

Most vendors will take cards, of course cash is always best.
For your convenience their will also be an ATM set up near the food shed.

As you enter 100 Clark Tunnel Road of of HWY 193, you will be guided into a big pasture for parking.  Walk to the gate where you will either purchase your ticket ($10, 12 and under free) or show your pre-purchased ticket. (available at High Hand or The Vintage Bricoleur)

Now the fun begins!
Enjoy what the vendors have worked so hard to share with you.

If you make a purchase, their will be several porters to help you carry it to the porter station where Amel & Bridget of Special Spaces will be labeling your items and keeping it all organized while you shop some more.  If the item is very large, you will be able to pull up to the gate near the porter station and load up.

Look for these smiling faces.
Ashyln & Angela

Sheldon
Trevor & Arica

You will want to make sure and have a delicious lunch right there at Maple Rock Gardens from The High Hand Cafe while you listen to live music.

Also...  In our space, The Vintage Bricoleur we will be doing demos using Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan.

The faces behind the work for A Vintage Harvest

The last few days I have been introducing the vendors for

Here is a link with
of the actual people.  It helps me to connect a face with the business name.  This will help you as you walk about the gardens and visit the their spaces.  These folks work very hard to make their spaces beautiful and our show would not be what it is without them.

Shop Vintage/Antique while touring the beautiful Maple Rock Gardens.
Watch demos of Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan and play at the open paint bar.

30 vendors, each with their own unique style.

Plenty of Fall inspiration.

Stay for the day and have lunch. High Hand Cafe will be serving a select menu.
It's always delicious!

See you there!

A Vintage Harvest, It Was A Success!

Well the show is over.
Our first vintage/antique show, A Vintage Harvest was a great day.

  It was a success.

We had a huge crowd of happy shoppers,

the garden was beautiful,

the food was delicious,

and the vendors outdid themselves with merchandising their spaces.

Here a just a few photos of the day.

**Most of all we are indebted to our family and friends for helping us pull this off smoothly.**

Don and Melanie thanks for running The Vintage Bricoleur space and the donut run.

Mom and Dad Bustos thanks for helping out with loading and unloading, and for a home-cooked dinner the night before the show and lunch on set-up day.

Sam and Ashley thanks for running the Porter Station so smoothly and helping with loading vendors.

Thanks Jim for working so hard all day loading up customers and vendors, and for the delicious homemade dinner after a long show day.

Angela, Trevor, Arica and Coralie, thank you for shuttling people around on the golf cart, getting lunches for vendors, for entertining the little ones who were at the show at different times and for loading vendors up.  We couldn't do it without you kiddos, our Jr. Bricoleurs.

Thank you Mom Sjotvedt and Linda for running a vendors' space who got sick at the last moment.

Thank you to our store dealer Shelley, and her daughter for working at The Vintage Bricoleur on set-up day and show day.

And Betty thank you for the wonderful surprise coming all the way from Texas to show some sisterly support. (and the coffee run)

I could go on all day.....
