Who will be at Remnants of the Past?

Will you be there?
I though that it would be fun to see if any of you readers are actually going to be at the
Remnants of the Past show this weekend.

(These pics don't really have anything to do with the post, Just fun shots of "things").

While the show is going on I am usually so busy, it is hard for me to stop and visit for very long with anyone.  But... I want to take the time.  I love to meet new people and to put a face to a name that I have heard before.  I also love for you regulars to come by and say Hello, even if it is really busy.

So... I thought that if you would leave a comment to let me know that you are going to be there, (even if we have never met), it would be fun!  Tell me where you are traveling from and if you have been to a Remnants show before.

I will have a Guest Book/Mailing List at the show for you to sign.  If you have a blog, put down that info as well.  I plan to do a post sharing some of you bloggers.

So, tell me, are you going to be there?

Two more Chairs for Remnants

Once again here are a few more items for
 Remnants.

Two chairs that can be used in any number of places in your home.

Two different styles, both with different personalities.

Here is the smaller of the two, more petite.

Some of the back details.
They show up so nice after being distressed and then a coat of wax put over the top to protect it.

Now for the other chair.
This one also has great detail on the back and on the legs.

Sorta like a pretty spider web look.
This chair has also been distressed and waxed to bring out the details.

She has a nice little grain sack seat.  I love those stripes!

Here they are again.  Ready for you to take home.

These chairs will be available at
 this coming
Saturday & Sunday
October 8 & 9
in San Luis Obispo.

You don't want to miss this show!
There will be book signings by Susan Branch & Velvet and Linen.

Some Extras for ROTP

Here are a few extras for the show coming up.
We are on the home stretch.  I have piles all over the house that are growing daily as items are finished and priced, waiting to be loaded into the trailer.

O.K. on to the items...

Little jar bundles that make great vases.

Wreath made out of vintage sheet music and pretty petite crystal chandeleir.

Ironstone pitchers and pewter.

Framed black and white photo with pitcher.

Little cement dutch boy & girl.

Beautiful Filigree broaches.

Stacking metal boxes.

These are just SOME of the items that are going to be available.  Hopefully in the next few days I will be able to share some of the bigger items.  We leave Thursday after the kiddos get out of school, set-up is on Friday, Saturday & Sunday?  Showtime!

Again these items will be available this weekend at

Thanks for looking,

French Arm Chair for Remnants of the Past

This French Arm Chair will be available at
Remnants of the Past.
In our space T-19 to 21 outside under the tent.

Every story has to start back at the beginning, right?

There she is, just bare bones.  Great display chair for a shop, but I wanted to make her sitable.
 (Is that a word?)

First all those little nails had to come out.  Every single one of them.

Now remind me why I want to tackle this project?

Oh yes, she has beautiful details.

After a coat of Annie Sloan wax and the fabric tacked on.
 Looking better!

All done!
As you can see there are still scraps on my kitchen floor.

The head rest.  Love those flowers!

Leg details.
After I distressed her, the wax brought out the details perfectly.

Arm rest.

Front of the seat.  Again the flowers are so pretty!!

The photo shoot.
She looks so nice in my living room, maybe she won't make it to Remnants.  Who wants to take home this piece?

This chair will be available for purchase at

Coming up, music wreath and chandelier and ?.

Scroll down for more items that will be at the show.

Remnants of the Past at The Madonna Inn Expo Center

Are you wondering what to expect when you get down to SLO at the Madonna Inn Expo Center for
Remnants of the Past?
Here are a few pics to give you an idea.
The main entrance to the inn.

The entrance to the Expo Center where the show will be.

There it is up on the hill.

There will also be a big tent set up where several vendors will be selling.  That is where we will be in spaces T-19 -20-21.
I love how it is foggy in the morning, and then the sun comes out and burns it off.

October 8, Saturday 9a.m. to 5p.m.
October 9, Sunday 9a.m. to 3p.m.
Admission is good for both days.
